In the 2012 Olympics she took gold on both the team floor and the individual competitions. The bronze was won with her balance bar. It made her the Olympic gymnast with the highest number of medals. The year she was in 2016, along with her teammate Gabby Doug were the very first Americans to win back-to-back gold medals at team events. Silver medals were also awarded for the all-around competition as well as floor workouts. In between the two Olympics she had taken an absence from competitive gymnastics for 3 years.
